Frequently asked questions (still under construction)

1. What is the difference between immigration and emigration?

Emigration: the act of leaving one's native country or region to settle in another (www.wikipedia.org).

Immigration: the act of someone leaving his/her native country or region to settle in MY country.

Example: Jim Carrey left Canada for the United States to further his comedy career in 1980.

From the Canadian perspective, Jim Carrey's act is emigration.

From the United States perspective, Jim Carrey's act is immigration.

2a. Are there any famous American emigrants who do not intend to live in the U.S. in the near future?

Jim Rogers, J.R. Sakuragi (born Milton "J.R." Henderson), Jeffrey Mindich,

2b. How many American emigrants are there?

The answer is that the U.S. government does not even know. However, the census bureau did an estimate.

3a. I am an American. Why should I leave my country?

i/: The economy of U.S.

ii/ Failing education and its impact on the future

iii/ Violence and crimes in America

iv/ Health care system

v/ Wide-spread LEGAL bribery

vi/ The U.S.A. empire

vii/ The declining nation

3b. I am a potential immigrant ? Why should I reconsider?

Besides the reasons presented in 2a, the U.S. immigration system is totally "fucked up". There is no "skilled" category or commonly known as "point" system. In most cases, you have to find a employer sponsor if you have no direct relatives. Even if you are qualified, you have to wait at least 5 plus years to wait for the "priority date" to be current. Click here for the detailed explanation on how you can waste your youth and money on this immigration road.

4. I am an American. Isn't it unpatriotic to leave my country?

Absolutely not. In most cases, moving to another country does not require you to relinquish your U.S. citizenship. In fact, Americans living overseas retain their voting rights in the presidential election. Americans are still required to pay taxes while working overseas (see IRS rule). You may continue to enjoy some federal benefits. You will be able to renew your U.S. passport and will continue to travel on your U.S. passport. Unless you go to an embassy to renounce your citizenship, you remain an American forever.

Most of the Americans are descendents of immigrants or immigrants themselves. Why did you or your ancestors leave their own countries? Were they immoral like you think? They moved because they wanted to improve their lives for themselves and their children (you!!!).

If you still believe it is unpatriotic, think of George Washington. Was he a traitor to the British empire? Did he betray America by using the British pound for bookkeeping even after the U.S. dollar was already established?

5. I am an American. Where should I move to?

Potential immigrants should also consider changing your plan. We have studied the countries based on their economic future and current living conditions. We have selected Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Hong Kong,  We believe anywhere in Europe is not a wise choice.
